| dc.description.abstract | Chapter 1 sets the stage for the material presented in the remaining chapters. The sequence consisting of Chapters 2 and 3 introduces the basic issues related to instruction set architecture and assembly language programming. The sequence of chapters 4 and 5 covers the design and analysis of arithmetic circuits and the design of the Central Processing Unit. Chapters 6 and 7 combined are dedicated to Memory System Design.
